The college football season is in full swing and there have been some major upsets that have changed the BSC rankings on a weekly basis. Now we are starting to get into homecoming weeks where some of the top teams have scheduled a lower opponent in hopes to provide a victory for the Alumni. The men will put on their tuxedo and the women will get into their formal dresses to participate in the weekend long functions that make up college homecoming. There is nothing like the atmosphere on a college campus as the school prepares for a football game during homecoming week.

me this year. I wonder who gets excited about playing in the Poinsettia Bowl? Instead of the fans throwing oranges or roses on the field, will they be tossing poinsettias on to the field? College football has gotten so diluted that it is difficult to reward a team for having a great season. It used to be that only a few teams every year made it to a bowl. It benefited the school with the revenue, and the athletes with a stage with which to prove themselves.Â
Now with all the corporate sponsors it is inevitable that only more games will be added before they are reduced. I wonder if I could get tickets to the PapaJohn bowl this year?
