How to improve your internet connection

For many of us the internet has become part of our everyday lives and we rely it on it to get our daily news updates, stay connected with friends, and play games. We have come to expect high speed connections and super fast internet connections and anytime we noticed a change in our speed or connection it can become very frustrating. There are several culprits that can rob you of your high speed internet connection. One of the big resource hogs is your virus protection software which typically runs in the background protecting your PC from malicious spyware and viruses. The other big issue is that the longer that you have your PC it will slow down due to the huge amount of cookies and spyware that infiltrate your PC. I would recommend doing some research on the various virus protection software out there and you will see tests that show which ones may be more resource intensive than others. Also you may want to look at upgrading your PC to newer technology like the HP Pavillion Quad Core PC with 4 GB ram. It comes with a 500 GB hard drive and Windows Vista and DVD writer. We recently upgraded our Pentium 2 to a newer Quad core system with 4 Gb ram and the improvement in speed of both the PC and our internet connection is amazing.

They have become the best place to find new and factory re-conditioned items at great prices which is what everyone needs during these times. So don’t put off upgrading your PC today when you can get a great deal on a new or refurbished system and stay online and connected with your friends.

Surfing in high speed

With more people getting high speed internet to surf the web on their laptop we are starting to see more competitors and therefore prices are coming down. You can compare broadband providers to be able to get the best deal and value. Some of things you need to keep in mind is that there is a difference in what many will call broadband. There is cable and DSL. We use cable as our provider offers faster download and upload speeds than we can get with DSL. Plus with DSL the speed and availability depends on your location to the central box for DSL. What is amazing is that overseas like in the UK Broadband is very inexpensive and more widely available than it is here in the US. The UK and other European countries were early adopters of high speed internet and the local governments were more aggressive in getting the infrastructure in place.
