Motivation. It’s one of those words that is so easy to say, but one of those things that’s pretty hard to do. Everyone – whether they’re a motivational coach or a salesman trying to push 0% credit cards – can sometimes find it difficult to beat the unmotivated blues. So instead of giving in to giving up and finding your list of things to do has fallen into the hundreds, read on to discover ways to get motivated and stay motivated…

Create a Mantra

We all know the tag line that goes with that famous sports brand, Nike – “Just Do It”. And while they might have already snared that one, it doesn’t mean you can’t use it to. Whenever you find yourself thinking about a chore that needs doing and trying to put it off, just repeat your chosen mantra to yourself and get on with it. Here are some great little sayings to help you get on your way –

You only regret the things you didn’t do – Mark Twain

Onwards and upwards!

This is not the hardest thing I’ve ever done

No pain, no gain!

Go forth and conquer!

Maybe none of these will float your boat, but hopefully they’ll give you a starting point. Try and come up with a mantra that relates to your life and use it when times get tough.

Get Active

If your day involves a lot of sitting around at a desk for instance, try and take time out at lunchtime to get outdoors. Go for a walk, head out on a jog, or simply run up and down the stairs a few times instead of taking the lift. Exercise increases the heart rate and you’ll feel much better if you get out, breathe in some fresh air, and get your blood pumping. Hopefully once you return to your desk you’ll be ready to tackle those tasks – however mundane – and get yourself through the rest of the day.

Ditch the Sugar

You might feel like the first thing you need is a Coke when you’re facing a slump, but you’ll only experience a temporary surge of energy and will then crash when the sugar leaves your system. So avoid the quick fix and go for something altogether healthier. Try a smoothie packed with bananas or a juice – they’re a great way to help sustain your energy. And don’t automatically reach for a chocolate bar – pick up a cereal bar or a handful of dried fruit and nuts instead.

Set Yourself Goals

So you’ve got a stash of things to finish by the end of the day and they’re all whirring around your head. You don’t know which one to tackle first, and actually you feel like you’d rather not bother with any of them. First things first, make a list. If the things you need to get done are all achievable today – great, if not, decide what you can set aside for tomorrow. Give yourself some time targets – make a list of the things you’re going to do by 11am, and then what you’ll have finished by lunchtime. This way, everything becomes much more organized and it’s easier to see you can get things done. Once you’ve completed a task, strike through the item on the list – it’s probably the most satisfying you can do for free! Try it!

Dream

If you’re finding it hard to get motivated and stay that way then maybe you need to look at what you’re doing. Perhaps you’re not feeling fulfilled or using your abilities to the best. If this is the case, take some time out and think about what it is you’d really like to achieve in life. If, once you’ve thought long and hard, you decide you’re not doing the thing you love, then set about finding steps to change this. Set yourself small goals to hit which will lead you up the ladder to your ultimate dream. Remember to be realistic though, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, so don’t give yourself a hard time if it seems like you’re taking forever to get to where you want to be. Just remember it’s important not to lose sight of this dream and work towards it as often as you can.

Hopefully these motivational tips will help you start achieving your goals, organize your life, and ultimately get to where you want to be.

Cable and internet giant Xfinity, still known in many markets as Comcast, has signed an exclusive cable contract with Skype, a popular video chat tool that allows users to have face to face conversations, free of charge, with anyone anywhere in the world. This contract enables Xfinity to offer an unrivaled benefit to its subscribers and it is likely to cause an influx of customers for both Xfinity internet and cable.

Redefining Video Chat
Although the Skype contract would enable users to chat via Skype on their televisions, an internet connection would still be a requirement. Therefore, this new service would embolden the share of the marketplace occupied by Xfinity internet. Although Skype users can currently use the Skype platform via their computers and certain smart phones, the ability to stream chats in 720p on a wide screen, high definition television set would really bring the conversation into the user’s living room, redefining in a very positive way what video chat is all about.
Kit Required

In order to utilize the Skype capabilities, users would need to purchase a Skype kit made specifically for Comcast Xfinity. The price of this kit has not yet been announced, but it comes with some really impressive features including a webcam that comes equipped with four microphones. This allows conversations from all over the room to be picked up and clearly transmitted to the person on the other side of the screen.

Skype users who are currently utilizing computers and smart phones have become used to the limitations of these formats which hinder a group in one place from having a coherent discussion with someone else via video chat. The Comcast Xfinity Skype kit completely alleviates this issue.
Leg Up for Xfinity Internet

As Skype continues to grow in popularity, getting an exclusive contract is a boon for Xfinity. Technologically savvy individuals tend to follow their favorite gadgets from platform to platform, meaning those who are big fans of Skype who are not currently Comcast Xfinity customers will become much more likely to consider becoming one. As the cable and high speed internet marketplace becomes increasing flooded with competitors this will provide Xfinity with an advantage over others.
More to Come

This announcement comes as the latest in a long string of recent changes made by Xfinity, including their name. The company is placing an emphasis on beefing up the technological aspects of their service, such as security. They’re also currently working on implementing Xcalibur, a video project that will incorporate social networking apps and search functions into their cable service.

I’m really lucky to work from home. My office is upstairs in the front of our house so in addition to having the luxury of being at home working in my pajamas, I can see all the comings and goings in our neighborhood. I try to keep an eye on things because you never know what can happen even in the light of day! Recently we had a neighbor whose house I can’t see from my window who had packages stolen from their front porch. Although it can’t protect us from things that happen outside, I’m glad we have ADT security Baltimore MD. I keep it armed during the day even when I am home. I don’t keep it set to instant in case I forget and walk out the door it won’t go off. I just get a reminder chirp that I need to turn it off. I don’t go out much but usually step out to get the ail mid-day for some fresh air. What a great gig!

I have experienced first hand the impact a hosting company can have your website or blog. For one thing you never want to base your hosting decision solely on price. Since most of the shared hosting companies offer unlimited websites, bandwidth, and SQL databases you need to consider other factors when choosing a reliable hosting company. Checking out review sites like Web Hosting Rating can give you insight into what others are seeing and how responsive support is when you need them. Also look at how long the company has been in business and what other industry awards they have won for service and up time. Also be sure to look at what restrictions they have on their unlimited bandwidth and what happens if you do take up additional resources.
Having a reliable web hosting company is important. You don’t want to face downtime’s, or have support that isn’t around to help you. Make sure that your growing business can flourish with your hosting company. Many of hosting companies will have unlimited bandwidth and virus protection but you have to refer to the web hosting guide at Web Hosting Rating to really the reliability of some of these hosts. So you don’t have to worry about a virus destroying your website, that you have worked so hard to create. Also, you will have a blog with any plan you choose. Be sure you put your blog to use, it’s an effective marketing tool for any size business. There are many other things that your plan will include. So look at Concentric before you make your final decision on a hosting account.

If you own a website or blog then you know the importance of having your site up and running so that your customers or fans can have access to your site. There are hundreds if not thousands of books on how to properly configure your site so that search engines can find you and place your site at the top of the listings. All this hard work can go to waste if your site or blog is not up and running due to hosting issues. I have been online and blogging for about 9 years and have know the joys and pains of having your hosting account go down. Finding a reliable website hosting company is not as easy as you would think. There were only a handful just a few short years ago and now it seems that everyone is getting into the hosing business and cloud computing is the newest buzzword.
I can tell you first hand that the biggest mistake you can make is basing your decision on price. While many hosting companies will offer special deals to gain your business the end result may less than satisfactory. Keep in mind that I am talking about shared hosting. Dedicated and VPS hosting are very different and cost a lot per month. For those of us that are looking for a reliable web hosting company you want to do your research. I have been a fan of Bluehost as they have hosted several of our blogs for the past 8 years and nothing really major has happened. One thing you need to watch out for is all shared hosting sites will list unlimited hosting, transfer and storage. You will also see 99.9% uptime guarantee. Make sure that you search out reviews on the potential hosing company and see what others have to say. You can always try a host for 60-90 days and see for yourself since most will offer a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. Remember that having a reliable and supportive host can be one of the most important decisions you make when putting your business online.

There are only two things you need to know about when it comes to making or earning money online.

The newest conferences are using interactive exhibit booths and color copies in order to intro your new products. You will see some of the latest interactive displays at the consumer shows, but you also need your printed materials to have the same impact when they leave the show. They will also offer logo imprinted items as a way to brand their company and create recognition. If positioned correctly you can interact with hundreds if not thousands of customers in order to promote a new line or product or simply enhance your brand. The latest high tech gadgets like tablets and 3D devices are even using creative poster printing in order to relay their message.

If you have ever been to a trade show or conference and looked at the various trade show displays you will see a marked difference in those know how to make the most out of their time based on their display and what they offer the customer. Some have gotten the layout and presentation right where they make the experience interactive for the customers where you actually walk into the booth area and become part of the program instead of simply having a table with brochures. You can find companies like posterprinting.com to help with your local business printing needs and also to help you get ready to present at a trade show. With on demand printing you can send jobs directly to your site without having to print in your office and then transport those materials to the conference. You must be creative and use a high gloss brochure in order to be remembered by your customers once they leave your booth.

Although I have had some cigars that were inexpensive and had a milder taste that were much more enjoyable. Finding the right cigar can be a challenge since you are not able to sample them and once you light them it is yours. If you are a novice then look for their variety packs to help give a better selection.
