Being seen at a trade show

Some have gotten creative with cardboard display setups where they feature iTunes rewards and other technology gadgets. It is all about the name recognition and branding of the particular product or company. There have even been companies that have their own branded footwear which is an interesting gimmick. Now walking around in a pair of HBO branded slippers is not such a bad idea. This will be a great relaxation after spending all day stuffing my bag with pens, golf balls, and water bottles.

If you are looking for a way to create and incentive for your sales team then I would look at some of the new cruise ships that are are now on the water. CT Business Travel is a Corporate Travel Agency that can help your organization both locally and globally arrange the details and help in your travel plans. The Oasis of the Seas is her name and this story sounds a lot like the Titanic’s did back in the day. I wasn’t there for the maiden voyage of the Titanic, but I could imagine that it’s very similar to this story. This new cruise ship is huge! There are 7 neighborhoods on this big boat and they all have a different theme. No other floating vessels on the water today, can match up to the Oasis of the Seas in terms of size. This ship’s maiden voyage was today and it left the ports in Florida and is now cruising in the Atlantic Ocean. It does take a ocean of water to keep this big boy floating. Let’s just hope this story has a much happier ending; than the maiden voyage of the Titanic did.

This really is a huge boat and I do wonder what rescue and emergency efforts are in place, if the Oasis of the Seas ever gets a leak or hits an iceberg. I imagine the Navy and Coast Guard would have to lend assistance and you would still need water crafts that could hold over 6,000 people and another 2,000 in crew members. This ship weighs like 250,000 tons and that is like the weight of 45,000 full grown elephants! The length is almost 1,200 feet long and it has a shopping mall, ice rink, an area that is like Central Park in New York City, and many other exciting features. It took 3 years to build this monster and it is now in business. No other ship can compare to this huge cruise ship. There will be a 2nd huge ship built soon called the Allure of the Seas and it will match up to the Oasis of the Sea’s size. Until then, this is the king of the seas and no other boat on Earth can carry as many people as this ship.

Getting a better nights sleep

The other morning, on Saturday, I woke up to a blinding light shining in my face. So my wife and I decided that we were going to invest in some room darkening blinds in order to not be woken up so early and be able to sleep in during the weekends. Many people may consider sleeping pills to help get a betters night sleep but maybe some simple adjustments might work as well. It was amazing at how much better we felt when we were staying at the hotel and were able to sleep in and not be woken up early by light poking through the holes of our blinds. Although I must admit that we could have slept in much longer, but thankfully we had a full day planned for sight seeing and the zoo so sleeping in was not in the cards.

Have you ever noticed the door chime when you walk up to a home? It used to be that you normally heard a series of chimes and no one seemed to pay attention. I have started to notice that people are getting more creative and apparently there are now devices that you can get where your door chime now can play your favorite song, or a theme to your favorite movie. I walked to a friends house and they had the theme to “Mission Impossible” playing in soft tones when you rang the door bell. Interesting, but couldn’t that get annoying after a few weeks.

“Oh no, I think I hear him coming. I guess he’s on his way back to me again and ready for another 12+ hours of poking my keyboard, clicking my mouse, and non-stop squelches at my monitor. I really wish he would get some glasses or something so he wouldn’t have to get so close to me, to read or see what he has to see on my monitor. I wish he would dump that old mouse pad and search for custom mouse pads that had my picture on it and not the cats. He waits way too long to get something for that morning breath he brings to me each day and I could do without that for sure! He should really get a life and go outside every now and then. It sure would make my job a lot more easier if he wasn’t putting me to use so much. I’m not sure why he blames everything on me and what is up with all those times he cuts me off and on just because another website doesn’t load fast enough?

Skiing in the Pacific NW

We live in the Pacific NW and have access to some of the best skiing in the country. I just started back skiing now that my kids are old enough and I have been amazed at how far the technology has come with skis and just how much easier it is to learn and turn. The new wide body
Salomon skis are a great example that have been shown to be an all mountain ski. This simply means that whether you are skiing on hard pack snow or soft powder this ski with its wood core, Pulses pad is able to reduce the vibration that you typically get from older skiis. Selling online can be very easy and lucrative or can turn into your worst nightmare. it seems that everyone is selling something eBay or creating their own store to have their own internet business. So how do you break through the clutter and start to find out where and what you should be selling. Try using an online auction forum where it is free to join and you can get some great advice on where to go and what to stay away from. For example, be careful of those workshops or ads on the internet to makes thousands working from selling on eBay. You can end up spending a lot of money and have nothing to show for it and a garage full of junk. I am looking into some of the new touch screen PC’s like the HP TouchSmart because of the huge touch screen that will enable me to create my web pages easier and give me more speed and power to really get things done fast.

These automated websites are already set up to help you sell online and work with drop shippers for products like ink cartridges with some great profit and computers and even running your own dating site. For a small start-up fee from $49- $149. They stock your store with over 1000 products that you can sell directly to the public or sell through online auctions. The great thing about how this is set up is that you do not have to order the product to stock in your home. Since they are set up to work with drop shippers you simply take the orders and then place the orders with the vendor and they ship directly to your customers. I have used drop shippers in the past and they are a great tool if you can leverage them appropriately. This way the items that you put for sale online you can reduce your stocking costs and only buy and ship items when you have the actual order. Use the free sources and enter in slowly and then build your customer base from there. Take time to plan and investigate the market, before jumping in with both feet.

They are so many bloggers out there today. I know many have seen the power in blogs and it is a great marketing tool.
