We were reading about some of the types of lung cancer due to some of the recent reports in treatment options that are now becoming available and found some interesting information around mesothelioma. This type of cancer is usually caused by exposure to asbestos that infiltrates the lungs and can be the starting point for a certain type of lung cancer. We found that Asbestosis & Lung Cancer are two separate types of disease states. Asbestosis is actually caused by the inhalation of asbestos and caused difficulty breathing similar to asthma but may only rarely manifest itself into lung cancer. The fibers of asbestos get logged into the lining of the lungs and your body then tries to get rid of this irritant which can cause fatigue, shortness of breath, and chest pain.
