CMUThought Community Thought 100 day Challenge

If you have not noticed but the the netbooks seem to be the biggest thing for those wanting to stay connected online. I have seen just about every wireless carrier and cable providers that offer broadband to their customers offering discounts on the latest netbooks in order to gain or retain your business.  Take for example the Samsung NC10 netbook that comes with a 160 GB HD and 1 GB of memory, 10.2′ screen, and wirless b/g compatible.  Originally when these new mini laptops were introduced I was not sure what their purpose would be and now after seeing more ads for them and actually playing with one they are quite cool. Even my kids are asking for the new netbooks to have for their rooms to help with school work and staying connected to their friends via Facebook and Twitter.

With more and more entrants in the market you will find these devices on sale in almost every electronic store and more online. We are looking into buying one for our son this September for his birthday. The compact nature of the new netbooks will allow him to carry it around with the added weight of a laptop and it will fit nicely into his new backpack that he got this summer that will also carry his skateboard.
