Marketing pens and name recognition

If you walk through any consumer or business trade show you will more than likely come out with a bag stuffed with promotional trade show items like marketing pens that help companies keep their name in front of the customer. I have always wondered how many stress balls, golf balls and tubes of chapstick one could use in a lifetime. Some have gotten creative with iTunes rewards and other technology gadgets. It is all about the name recognition and branding of the particular product or company. There have even been companies that have their own branded footwear which is an interesting gimmick. Now walking around in a pair of HBO branded slippers is not such a bad idea. This will be a great relaxation after spending all day stuffing my bag with pens, golf balls, and water bottles.
