August is the time when most Americans will head to the beach or shore and on the east coast the Outer Banks is a popular choice. But some people can find great deals and beautiful scenery in the winter months .The Outer Banks is located in North Carolina and is comprised of 130 miles of sweeping sandy beaches. Most people will rent homes or condos for the week and spend their family vacation here. There are numerous attractions such as sports, lighthouses, and museums where to spend some of your time when not on the beach.
Here you can see the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse,which is the tallest brick beacon in the US and also known as “America’s Lighthouse” It stands an impressive 208 feet tall and is a recognized landmark.
