Christmas is a great time to fill your home with color. Your selection of flowers and plants should be no exception. Poinsettias are a wonderful worldwide holiday tradition. Displayed alone or in groups, they add a festive splash of color to every decor. Here are few tips to keep your poinsettias looking there best throughout the holiday season.

  • Place your plant in indirect sunlight for at least 6 hours per day.
  • Provide room temperatures between 68 and 70 degrees F.
  • Water your plant thoroughly when the soil is dry beneath the surface.
  • Fertilize your plant after the blooming season with a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer.
  • Avoid cold drafts or excessive heat.
  • Do not expose your plant to temperatures below 50 degrees F.
  • Do not over water poinsettias.

Why not send someone special flowers this Christmas and help liven up their house. At wholesale flowers they offer a large assortment of flowers and gift baskets for holiday’s and almost any other occasion. From fantastic flowers to charming cookie bouquets you are sure to find a gift for everyone on your list.
