We were clearing our house this past weekend, and I noticed that in the bathroom showers and sinks how dingy the taps and drains had become. Even the shower faucets had become less than desirable with the calcium deposits that had formed. I knew this would be quite the undertaking if I were to start to replace all the fittings and and were going to consider kohler faucets that have the name and the quality that we were looking for. With the mad rush for PS3 , Wii, and Xbox we have already seen some retailers take precautions to limit the madness that is sure to breakout. IN this weeks ads, most stores are doing a lottery type system, where they are handing out tickets starting at 6 AM the morning of. While the hype around PS3 has been somewhat lacking, it is sure to be the thing to have this Christmas. Plus many will be upgrading their TV to showcase their new graphic games in their big screen samsung 50 inch LCD.I remember growing up and the game system to have was the Atari system. Complete with Missle Command, Asteroids, and Space Invaders. My how have things have changed to think of spending over $500 for a gaming system is hard to think of.

I can’t remember my parents waiting in long lines to get the Atari and Asteroids for Christmas. My Kids get a kick out of playing those games, which include Pole Position. I hope that when my kids get a little older that theses systems, do come down in price. This winter our entire family will be going to the mountain for the first time to snow ski. We live close to about 4 different mountains that offer terrain for all levels. My kids are excited to get on skis for the first time and my wife will be looking forward to the new technology that has come along in skis since we have been over 10 years ago. We will also be looking for new ski jackets like those made by North Face which are some of the best in the business. As I plan with my team for the upcoming business year we have to collect data from sales, budgets, and current customers to help us lay out the objectives for 2008. Our business performance management process requires that we establish benchmarks based on local conditions and market trends and then roll those up to our regional business planner. This has been a change from the past when we would receive objectives from headquarters and then asked to fit those into our local market. The trend to regionalize our business has allowed my team to create their own business plan and set their own success. My family and I are heading to New York City in the next week to enjoy the Christmas lights and skate at Rockefeller center. There is nothing more memoralbe or scenic than the skyline as you are driving into the city. We will be down in Times Squares, but will venture out into some of the burroughs such as Queens, to take in the different architecture that the city has to offer. I read in a an article that casinos are now making more of their money from the hotel and shops and breaking even on the actual casino. This may be the reason for the newest trend of Condo Hotels that target the high rollers and those that want live close to the city that never sleeps. A few of these are being built right into the hotels so that when their owners are away their condos can be rented out to hotel guests.

Our new home was in need of some new furniture. Going furniture shopping was actually quite interesting as we found some new styles and pieces that would not have normally considered with our last home. For instance we found this great contemporary bedroom furniture for our bedroom that creates a nice and inviting feel. Our recent bedroom set was about 15 years old and while it was nice for it’s time it was getting out dated and time for a replacement.
