I was in need of a camcorder battery for our old 8MM recorder. I know that those are about as ancient as a 35 mm film camera, but it still works and we have a lot of footage that we have shot through this camera and hate to give it up. What I found out which I wish I would have know a few years ago is that there are extended life batteries available for our camcorder that allow us to get up to 6 hours of recording time instead of the average 2-3. That would have been great our kids birthday party with all those presents and games that we taped.
