My dad and I were talking a while back about how we communicate these days. He longs for the days when people pick up a pen and pad to write a letter. We have become so use to just typing up an email and then sending off to our parents or loved ones. There is something to be said about a hand written note of appreciation. Even for those manage people sending off an email of congratulations can be nice but the impact of a short hand written note can make even more of an impact. I was looking around the house and it seems that all of our’s are advertising pens. We have some from banks, auto repair shops, and dentist’s offices. The pen has become a constant vehicle for people to promote their business so I wonder when I do sit down to write a letter to my folks if I will somehow have a desire to purchase some new tires. Just a thought!
