Poker for your Mac

posted by admin

We recently played a new game of poker in our monthly poker get together called  Padre. It is basically a Texas Hold em style game, but you actually get 5 cards, instead of two. This makes it more interesting in that now you have a ton more possibilities and the pair of pocket aces may not be your best hand to stay in on. Several of the hands that won were four of a kinds, and even a straight flush. There is still 4 cards that are dealt from the dealer. The flop, the river and the turn. The strategy was to try and get pepole out early if you had a pair, or flush, so that no one could draw against you.

Playing online has become a fascination with some of our neighbors, and now even those with macs can play online. Mac poker rooms are now easily accessible through pokeronmac.com. They provide tips and helpful articles to help learn about the various games of poker, and provides sites that are Mac friendly. They provide a great FAQ for Mac players with answers to such questions as “Do I need a virtual PC” and other questions like which sites are Mac compatible. Plus they provide some great news updates on the online poker sites and new laws and regulations that may affect who can play.
